Forestry at Svanshóll
Svanshóll is one of the more prominent forestry farms in the west fjord area. We have been planting and harvesting trees for over 20 years.
Our land contains more than 20 different types of trees, many of which can be purchased as saplings at Svanshóll.
We provide thousands of plants to individuals and organisations around Iceland for planting and re-forestation every year.
We have planted more than 600.000 saplings in the mountain and flat lands around Svanshóll.
West of Svanshóll a small Aspen forest gives testimony to our work throughout the years. The forest provides cover for the Icelandic ptarmigan during the harsh winter and provides a beautiful area for hiking and cross-country skiing.
