Cherries and fruit

Cherry farming at the Arctic Circle
Imagine biting into a juicy, sweet cherry that was grown under the midnight sun in one of the most pristine and beautiful places on Earth. That's what you get when you buy cherries from Svanshóll, a family-owned farm in Iceland that produces some of the finest cherries in the world. Arctic Cherries are grown in a special greenhouse that harnesses the natural light and warmth of the summer months, while protecting the trees from the harsh winter conditions. The result is a cherry that is rich in flavour, antioxidants, and vitamins. Our cherries are a delicious and healthy treat that you can feel good about.

Cherries are a seasonal product available from July to mid August.

We make delicious jam and jelly from our produce which is available all year round.
Our greenhouse contains around 40 fruit trees that provide a diverse harvest of apples, plums, pears and cherries. We also farm several other types of berries, flowers and vegetables.

Imagine a place where you can enjoy the warmth and light of a lush garden, just south of the Arctic Circle. Our aim is to grow healthy fruit and vegetables in one of the most challenging environments on Earth.

Inside, guests can sit down and relax among the greenery, or sample some of the fresh produce. The greenhouse is open all year round, but most of our harvest is from June to September, when the sun never sets in the arctic circle. It is a perfect destination for those who want to experience a different side of the north, or for those who simply want to enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal in a beautiful setting.
